Welcome to Asia Caribe, the newest fine dining restaurant on Isla Mujeres.
Chef/owner Peter Krinsky uses the freshest Mexican ingredients -- cilantro, lime, chilies, coconut, chayote squash, mango, papaya, fresh-caught fish, mint, basil -- to create delicious Thai and Chinese cuisine. Many Asia Caribe dishes are authentically Chinese or Thai, while others are influenced by cuisines of the Orient and the Caribbean - hence Asia Caribe.
While in the heart of Centro, Asia Caribe offers romantic garden-patio dining and side-walk alfresco tables where you can keep an eye on the local scene. Tables are set with linens, flowers and candles for a relaxed, enjoyable dining experience.
Peter markets daily to find seasonal, fresh produce. He purchases fresh grouper, snapper, and boquinete from the local fishermen who can be found filet-ing the days’ catch on the beach. Daily specials are created around seasonal produce and seafood. All fruits and vegetables are carefully prepared so fresh salads and fruits can be enjoyed worry free.
Any appetite can be satisfied at Asia Caribe, from fresh, light Thai salads to hearty Sticky Pork Ribs. Some appetizers include: Fresh Spring Rolls, Fried Spring Rolls, Chicken Satay, Spicy Tom Yum Soup, and Shrimp Brochette with Apple and Mango. Entrees include peppery Chicken with Cashews, Coconut Shrimp on a lime-buerre blanc, Fish a la Bangkok featuring a light, Thai-style sweet and sour sauce, Filet Mignon with a peppercorn glaze (the most tender cut), Drunken Noodles with Thai curry, pineapple and rum, and Sesame Salmon, fresh salmon filet encrusted with sesame seeds and sauteed with wasabi, ginger and soy.
The menu also features large fresh Thai-style salads including Grilled Beef Salad, with lime, chile, red pepper, onion and basil, and “Yum” with glass noodles, carrot, cucumber, red pepper, onion, lemongrass, lime, chile and shrimp. Vegetarian and Vegan diners will find many options as well.
Top off your meal with delicious homemade desserts such as Chocolate Mousse and Kahlua/Chocolate cheesecake. Enjoy with fresh brewed coffee or decaf.
